Default 48 Volt conversion- 6-8's or 8-6's??

Guys,
Just finished the 48 volt grade upgrade on my series txt, and the results are AWESOME. (HD FNR, HD solenoid, Alltrax AXE 4855 500 amp controller) Haven't checked the speed yet, but it is a lot faster. Will pull the front wheels off of the ground on take off.

For now I have borrowed the 8 volt batteries from my 2002 club car, which are in excellent shape, are 2 years old and have been very well maintained. Are 8-6 volts that much better? If so, it will cost me a couple hundred bucks more, but I can swing it if I can get up to 30-33% more runtime.

I don't want them in the bagwell area, because I climb hills regularly on our hunting property, and don't want it to pop wheelies.
Has anyone moved the controller/solenoid on a TXT, so that the extra 2 batteries can be mounted under the seat? If so, do you have any pictures?

Thanks

Well for now keep the 8 volt batteries if you can live with the space problem, and save the coins for 6 volts later if run time is an issue. Trojan T-!05 6 volts have 22% more capacity than T-875's. Advantage the 8 volts do not take up bag well space. So there is a trade-off for space or run time.
