Re: limited slip diff install
I just install the new ez-go limited slip diff. In my 07 PDS and was pretty easy. The hardest part was getting 25 oz of fluid back in thr the bottom hole.the ez go diff pt# 614756(pretty sure) is a true limited slip unit just like a car or truck. It was $240 at mountain top carts in north Carolina .it took only a couple of hrs to do , the instruction are pretty straight forward.

Re: limited slip diff install
i installed the limited slip-posi unit from plowmans. works well. what year is your cart? you will need at least a 99 or up with larger carrier, or change out the carrier and pinion gears. not hard.

Re: limited slip diff install
wait, did I read the first post correctly? Are you trying to install a limited slip Diff or a Posi Diff? The only reason I ask is that your cart comes with a limited Slip Diff installed. Some people (like Madoc1) have installed Posi kits that convert the limited slip Diff into a Posi traction rear.

Re: limited slip diff install
rabbit, that is essentially what plowmans has. plowmans is already assembled when you recieve it. it is also about half the ezgo price.

Re: limited slip diff install
dorado there is no lash to set on these diffs. i think?because the gears are straight cut.. could be wrong about that part, but no lash
just take it apart, smooth the inner side of pinions that go on axles, put all back together with posi unit then pop off the two retaining pins and reinstal.. good directions come with this and plowman is helpful also. jim |
