Default Newbie with a 91 Marathon Diagram!

Hello and thank all of you for a great site! I have found many great threads with tons of valuable information in this forum. But I am in need of some help. I cannot figure out what type of control system my 1991? EZGO marathon is. And were to find a wiring diagram or schematic. I see it has what looks like a solid state controller with a heavy duty relay/solonoid(see pic) next to it. Also, may sound dumb, but what is the electric push button on the brake pedal for? Ok I have included pictures so take a look. I purchased this bad boy for $200 without batteries. Yes, I know it looks bad in the pictures but its comming along. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....AJWASHERE

P.S. I included a pic of the serial plate because I am not even 100% sure its a 1991 or a Marathon!

Definitely a 91 Marathon controller cart. Push button on brake pedal may be for brake lights ??? Didn't see a pic of pedal or rear so just guessing.

Here is a schematic.

I'm very partial to the older Marathons. They are tanks!!!

Good luck with the new addiction!

I wouldn't say that was a heavy duty solenoid. They look similar.

Wow guys! Thanks for the fast replys and good info! Im glad to hear the Marathons are tanks. And yes it did have taillights. So I guess its the brake light switch. As for the schematic, it is helpful but does not show the relay/solenoid wiring. And how about 12V accessories? Do you guys tap into two of the batteries or use one of those voltage reducers? I ask because I plan on adding two lights on the front and maybe a stereo. Most the reducers I have seen are 10A and two lights and a stereo will pull more than that I think. Thanks again to everyone for the info!...AJWASHERE

I dont know what happened to my response! Anyways, thanks a million guys. And yes it had taillights so that answers that. The diagram helps also but does not show the solenoid. As for the lights, the wiring could not have been factory as it was routed poorly and was low quality. I think I will get a voltage reducer and hook up lights, radio, ejection seat to that. Thanks again for everyones help and input...AJ

Wherever you find them! Getting much more difficult especially on body parts.
