I think I put the flat side (side without part identifcation) toward the magnet. If it is backwards, it still works!

There is another thread in this forum that also discusses this procedure. It has a link to the actual part that would need to be replaced. If I find the thread I will put up a link to it. I may not be able to because I am on my mobile though.
