Default Tomberlin Vanish will not go into low or park

Went out yesterday to use the Tomberlin. Turned on key and when I took it out of park something didn't feel right and there was a popping noise from the back. It sounded like a cable maybe broke, but the cable is still moving the gear shift lever. The cart will move, but only in High gear. Low and park do not work.

I can't find any instructions on how to adjust the cables and figured I should start there. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

Here is a tech tip on the gear adjustment with the cable setup.

There was never a full blown service manual for the Vanish.
