lithium battery suggestion.

I looked in the bigbattery website and the 48V BDGR GEN-2 - NMC - 48Ah - 2.1kWh doesn’t look bad for the price would you recommend? . I use my CC precedent high speed sensor on a good charge I get 19-20 by my self . to pick up my kids from school 6.2 miles in total 2 different schools and no hills in Florida. I’m new to the lithium world and don’t wanna spend too much money right now and I’m done with acid battery’s but I also want to in the future do some upgrades to get more speed and not have to change lithium battery’s.
I did some other batteries like allied & Scott’s site.

It's cheaper for a reason. The bigbattery.com BDGR is not a typical 48v nominal battery. It is NMC chemistry, which is not the problem, but a nominal 48v NMC battery uses 14 cells in series for a maximum charge voltage of 58.8v. The BDGR uses only 12 cells in series dropping the maximum charge voltage to 50.4v with a nominal voltage of only 43.8v. A nominal 48v NMC battery should be 14 cells, not 12 and will have a nominal voltage of 51.1v. So you're getting 2 cells less than other comparable NMC batteries and the cells is where the cost is.

When it comes to Lithium batteries, you get what you pay for.

The 72Ah kit will get you 30 to 35 miles on flat Florida roads. I have gotten 40 miles with mine, two riders, over two days, and still had 17% SOC left.

Whenever I make a large purchase (like I would consider this to be) I factor in the price delta. If the BB battery setup is X and Eco (for example) is X+, the delta is the difference between the cost of the two. Let's say (just an example) that the + of the Eco is $400-that delta is the real cost (since you had to already factor in X to start with).

I always want to try and get the best product that gives me the best service, so in this case (and example-I don't the delta price) it really is only $400 more for the best option.

Like Pat said-the cost is in the cells.

I know I'm not answering your question.....but buy as many amp\hr as you can afford.

And remember....."More" is always better....except when it comes to bikini's....unless it's your daughter who's wearing the bikini.

I would not go for less than 90AH - over 100 is better! Cheap isn't going to cut it.

Go here and search for a dealer. They are very hard to find now but you can get on a waiting list.

A 2.1 KwH battery works out to be 43ah. I think you will be disappointed with the range.
