Well I dont necessarily blame the dealer either. However he should have tested the cart. Unless me loading the cart up the steep ramp into my truck and unloading had somethign to do with the ebrake?

The fact that it worked fine before is suspicious, and I know the huge tires and lift are going to be more work for the brakes, but it is just weird timing this happened soon as i picked up.

Some very important info.

The brake on the motor is a "Parking/Emergency" brake.
It is not used in normal driving.

The "Parking/Emergency" brake is used to hold a stopped cart without using power.

The "Parking/Emergency" brake is also engaged when brake pedal is pushed almost to the floor.

Holding a stopped cart does not damage "PARKING/Emergency" brake.

Stopping a moving cart (especially one with large tires) does.
This is caused by the stress from the excessive torque applied to the brake from the higher mechanical advantage and extra speed of the Larger tires.

NORMAL driving does not involve "Parking/Emergency" brake and so if you do not "LOCK" tires up while driving, The larger tires /lift kit ect has no effect on the brake.

So I should take it easy on the brakes and no slamming them? Normal lightly applied braking with these huge 25" tires shouldnt put anymore wear and tear on the cart?

Use brakes in normal and comfortable driving.
When "Parking/Emergency brake is applied, wheel "lock up".
Parking/emergency brake is All or nothing.

You can find the point where the brake is activated by putting cart in tow mode and pushing brake pedal.
as you push pedal, you will hear brake click at some point as the brake pedal gets close to the floor.

Well im sure if there is an emergency someone using the cart will slam on the brakes, I am just curious what kind of damage this can cause? Is it ok to lock up the brakes sometimes? I assume they would know people will jam on the brakes somtimes. Or will i be harming things? Why would they design it like this it seems dangerous?

Jamming on the brakes to the point of locking up while rolling is damaging/destroying the park brake, every time it happens it = damage/wear. One single occurance of this will likely not destroy the brake, but it can (especially if it was already well used). Locking the brake up at speed greatly increases the chance of immediate destruction of brake, shattered disc. Turning the key off while cart is moving is the same effect. They (Ezgo/textron) expect you will be driving responsibly at speeds never higher than 19mph, on grades no steeper than specified in the manual, and they designed the system to work wit h Stock size tires.

Brake went in took about 30 minutes, pretty easy job. Cart runs great now it goes 30mph! holy hell. I am taking it easy on the brakes, a light tap and it comes to a stop pretty quick.
