Default RXV accessory wiring for 12 volts?

I want to install this combo 12 volt accessory receptacle and this usb charge port, in my 2008 rxv.

The receptacle uses a hot a negative, does the usb side also just take a hot and negative ( 12v). The usb says 5.1 volts, so is there a resistor in there that knocks the 12 volt down to 5.1 volt?

I don't want to smoke anything here. I was going to wire both together on the same wires??

There is a resistor that takes it down to 5 volts. Are you using a voltage reducer or just booking it up to a single 12v?

Don't know what your mean by "deluxe kit" but a USB port should be fine tied directly to a battery. Don't mess with the factory wiring. If you do anything more than a usb I'd get a quality voltage reducer.

"Don't mess with RXV wire harness" Great advice

With the tiny load of USB device or 12v lighter .. no problem attaching to 1 batt for 12v.

Be sure to put fuse close to battery. I have seen 3 feet of wire from batt to front of cart - then fuse.

Kinda useless when poorly installed wire rubs and shorts 1 foot from batts

Is it ok to attach my new light ( lights, brake lites, turnsignals, horn) to just one 12 volt battery also?

Thanks for the advice. I read awhile back that you said it could cause the controller to shutdown?

You would have to charge a lot of cellphones at the same time to get that battery out of balance. Just follow the advice of running your own wires, and leaving the factory wiring alone.

I use a stand alone marine deep cycle battery for all my accessories and lights. Works great, charge it after about 5 or six hours use. No problems. I would not tie into the pack or run a converter, asking for trouble.
