Thank you all for your responses. JB - the is no "connector" in J2 - unfortunately in my neck of the world stuck on 13mph is too fast for the 5% of uncaring idiots who just treat them like crap. If I remove the speed sensor - apart from going slow - will this do any damage ? Otherwise we will get rid of them. Again - appreciate all feedback.

No harm is done. It is called a "personality plug" it gives you up to 4 options.
I learned the pinout of the wires by looking at the plugs on EBay and Internet. Fortunately there are electronic stores in Houston with the matching plug!

Removing the speed sensor will basically put the cart in limp mode and won't work for what you want to do. If 13 is too fast they need to go somewhere else..

New 300a XCT control will allow programmer to select ANY max motor rpm and the cart will hold that up or down hill. Cost about $400 a cart. This is a viable option as one replaced front end would cost this much with labor etc.
Another thought, I was wondering if your carts have a reduced reverse speed? If yes turn it on constantly like you could with a DCX300, cost about $350 per cart.

Removing the speed sensor will drop the speed to about 2 to 3 MPH and won't do any harm to the controller, but running a PDS motor at low RPM continuously might overheat it.
