02 Txt surging
Everything was refurbished 2 yrs ago, feels like it dies but if I let up on pedal and push back down it continues fine. Sometimes it happens fairly often sometimes just a couple of times a round. It's annoying and want to fix it. What's involved? Thanks

Re: 02 Txt surging
Just a thought, but have you checked all of your High Current (you know...the big fat wires) for being clean and tight? If those all clean and tight (BTW...when was the last time you took a brush and some baking soda and took off each and every terminal and cleaned it? You should do this at least once a year....more often if you have "green stuff" growing out of your terminals) .....then you need to check the low voltage wiring next. Make sure those small wires are clean, tight and the connections are solid.
I would start there and if you still have the problem, post back....then we will get into more "brain surgery". |

Re: 02 Txt surging
Same thing my 02 pds was doing. It was the ITS sensor in the pedal box. Replaced that and no more surging. There is a test procedure in the stickys. Good luck!!

Re: 02 Txt surging
All new battery cables and I have cleaned everything I can get to. I've had two different people at the course recommend the I T S sensor also. How big a deal is that?

Re: 02 Txt surging
My pds was doing this when there was a lot of moisture. Mine would buck when you pressed the pedal from a stop and sometimes even go in reverse. It did it in a heavy rain once and after I cleaned the batteries. I found that the plug for my controller was loose and had some moisture in it. I cleaned it and securely connected the plug and have not had an issue since. Hope it helps..

Re: 02 Txt surging
Access the pedal box... remove rocker panel
Lift floor mat remove lid ITS = 2 small delicate nuts, 2 plug in wires. Not a big job for somebody who change oil. |
