Re: RXV High Current Controller
"a little torque"?.. Disclaimer: i tuned "the crap" out of that ezgo 350a controller (not "as delivered from ezgo", you get the same torque, just not delivered as fast as i did).. I ran our RXV 350a "hotrod" against a custom "spm800 series" Drive i also built (8x 6v, 2ga wires, big contactors, "6.1 raptor", race car, stock gears, 10"/ street tires, the motor can only use about 600 of those amps). The Drive won both times, By less than 1 car length. I am very impressed with what that 350a AC system can do against serious competition. Please dont say "but Drives are Sepex", see photo, this is what the rxv was up against. The Drive with no posi steers left pretty hard. (the Drive had a little weight in the back, otherwise it just spins the tire and then turns left, but Ydre's defense, it carries a roof, windshield, full driving enclosure, the rxv had none of those things). Im just saying, the torque difference is big, not "a little". I cant wait to hear the Haters!! (you are irresponsible, you cheated, i have a Precident, ect).

Re: RXV High Current Controller
Yea, from what little info I have seen / heard. It is a pretty substantial improvement. I think what has me worried the most is how....."temperamental" this cart seems to be with everything being digital. Basically I'm worried about p**sing it off..lol
I'm sure everyone has seen it, but for those who haven't here is EZ-Go's promo on the it. |

Re: RXV High Current Controller
I think the one for youre/my cart is the one in my op. Keep me posted if you decide to do it as I am very interested in this upgrade myself. If you do it try to get some benchmarks before and after.

Re: RXV High Current Controller
As far as i know, its the same controller, but with an "adapter box" to hook the danaher harness plug to the curtis controller. That is how its done on danaher controller replacements for stock controllers (danaher controller is evidently not available). And no, it does not do wheelies, the "zero rpm" torque is not quite good enough for that.

Re: RXV High Current Controller
I dont even care about wheelies. I just want the improved torque.
