Ezgo marathon will start in reverse but not in forward

The clutch has to come off, and the cover opposite the clutch. I have no idea after that as I have never done them on a cart, but I am willing to bet if you can get the cover and the clutch off, the rest is no big deal.

After the front cover comes off, you also need to remove the flywheel with a steering wheel puller, and an air impact.

Yes did everything to the switch. Yesterday run well. Today not so well. I have checked every wire for bad connections and for bare wires. No luck. Going to take motor out.

Mine ran like crazy in reverse, and then it wouldn't run at all, and then it would run in reverse again, and then sluggish in forward.

It was a ripped diaphragm in the fuel pump. Besides, it's easier to check the pump than rip the engine out.

If I understand the issue correctly, it runs fine in reverse and not at all in forward. I do agree, easier to check the pump than pull the motor. Just going over the basics is the key to about everything, spark, fuel, compression, air, etc.

Yes. Checked fuel pump and that seems to be working.

Did you take the pump apart to see if the diaphragm is ripped?

It could still work with a ripped diaphragm.

No I did not take pump apart. It seemed to pump the same amount of fuel either forward or backwards when I had carb off.
