Default No low rpm, some backfiring

Hello to all,
Just bought an 83 ez go gas. Seems In pretty good shape but it fails to run smooth at low rpm. Like when ur putting around. At WOT It runs good.

Here is your manual, and 2 pictures of the throttle connection at the carburetor.

That spring on the cable prevents backfiring, and helps with a smooth throttle response.

Thanks for the manual cart around. After I bought it I found out that '83 was the year not to buy. Oh well, paid 750$ for it. It runs pretty good except the problem I posted. And yes I never buy parts unless required.

Hey cart around, that manual is for an 85? Thought they only made the motor for the 83 one year and changed motors ?

Different exhaust, and different cradle mounts. The engine is the same. Wiring is the same, but location of some components may be different.
