That washer keeps the bolt centered in the clutch at high rpm. I would recommend you use the correct washer. Use a lock washer and one drop of blue loctite. The bolt should be grade 5 or higher.

Luckily I noticed that the driven clutch was sliding back and forth on the splined shaft! I ordered the bolt from E-Z-GO, used a large flat washer, Locktite blue and thought I'd fixed the problem. The vibration went away for a while then returned as the bolt and washer came out. I then ordered another bolt, part #00441G8. I also ordered the stock washer, part #25756G1, like the one pictured in your post. There's no more vibration and the bolt/washer are still in place. THE WASHER IS CRITICAL! |
