Battery cable
I have one battery cable that gets very hot and smells like it is burning. It has melted the plastic caps used to protect the terminals. Is it a bad cable or bad battery?

Re: Battery cable
Could be just a bad cable that is causing the heat build up.
Can you post a picture? Do you see any corrosion around the ring terminal? |

Re: Battery cable
Reverse the cable. If the heat moves, it's the cable. If the heat stays at the post, it's the post.

Re: Battery cable
The cable ends and terminals are clean. I'll try moving the cable and see what happens.
