Electrical Problem
So last year I ended up changing out my micro switch and starter solenoid and thought my problems were solved.
Now it seems to be something different but strangely similar! We were out riding around yesterday and everything was fine until we came to a stop sign. I stopped and when I tried to go again....nothing, nadda...ziltch! It happened again about 20 mins later when going down a hill....let off the gas and when I stepped on the pedal again...nothing. I can step on the gas pedal several times and after the 3rd or 4th try, everything starts right up as normal! Since I've already replaced the micro switch and starter solenoid, I'm leaning toward the battery...but it turns over just fine...when it works. Yesterday was one of the hottest days we've had so far this year so I guess I'm wondering if heat is also playing a role. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: Electrical Problem
Loose wire.
Brushes in starter. Corrosion on wires. Load test battery. Check standing voltage, then step on pedal to see how much voltage drops. You only want to see a 1 volt drop. If the battery drops to 96 volts, it failed the test. Those are just a few thoughts. |
