Default What is this?

Got a day just to play, so I thought I would paint some stuff on the cart and figure out #4AWG upgrade. Well while I was in the motor bay I spotted something that doesn't look like anything. It's right between the solenoid and controller. Guessing it's factory.

I'm thinking it might be a voltage reducer since I have lights and can't figure out where the reducer is located. To me it doesn't look like a reducer, but this is my first cart so it's all new.

Wish I had a better picture, but this was the best of the bunch. Not much room to click a camera.

It's a ground block. All the B- connections come together here in an attempt to keep from shoving so many wires under the controller cover to hook to the B- post of the controller. If you were to add lights to an IQ cart, you'd hook the ground here to keep from having to remove the controller cover.

Dang, an I was really hoping it was a flux capacitor. Shouldn't have been so cheap on Craigslist.

Sure is simple and makes all the sense in the world when someone tells you the answer. Well back to keeping my eye out for the voltage reducer then.

Thanks once again.

If it has one, it's going to be on the inside of the driver's side frame beam just behind the batteries.

EDIT: I may be getting ahead of myself. What year is the car?

Simply amazing the both of you.

It's a 2006 IQ. I thought I read somewhere that CC shipped carts that year with lights that were all ready to go with the reducer. That's what got me wondering if the ground block was it.

I have about 4 bananas in the kitchen stinking to high heaven. Are you really sure that ain't a flux capacitor?

They added it when they came out with the IQ system in 2002. All DS IQs have one.
