Another Possible Project

Found this 87 gas EzGo (non-running) locally for $100. Was wondering if this would be a good platform for a new build? |

Re: Another Possible Project
Nope.
Unless you have another 4-stroke rear end laying around. |

Re: Another Possible Project
So this EzGo is like my G1 where the engine runs in reverse to give you reverse?

Re: Another Possible Project
That's what I am hearing from Skoal, I don't know.
Does the rear end have a shifter? If not its a 2 stroke rear. |

Re: Another Possible Project
I just rebuilt an 86 marathon. Bought a complete engine rebuild kit for around $300. Put a new driven clutch on it as well. I think it would be a great build if the body is sound. you can get the trim pieces but not a new body.

Re: Another Possible Project
You're correct I didn't catch the front cowl.
But it looks like it has the older style front axle. Which year did they change the axle so it is supported on top and bottom of the kingpin? |

Re: Another Possible Project
I will try to get out to look at it today or tomorrow. If the rear axle doesn't have reverse I probably will pass on it. Don't get me wrong I love my Yamaha G1 I just prefer more options when building a cart.
