1996 36v cables getting hot
I have 1996 ezgo 36volt and after riding it for about 10 to 15 mins yesterday I smelt something and looked under the seat and found the cables on the batteries was hot and the cables on the solenoid are hot the cables on fwd rev switch was not hot I was wondering if anybody would know off the top of their head what it would be

High current cables getting hot is due to excessive resistance in the cable or connection and any cable that gets more than about 10°F above air temperature needs to be repaired or replaced.
Cable connections on the battery terminals are very susceptible to corrosion and the corrosion wicks into the cable itself, causing additional problems. All 13 (or 14) high current cables ought to be 4Ga or thicker. |
