New to me ST 350 workhorse

Picked up a 2000 Workhorse yesterday. With the exception of a few really bad rust spots on the bed and tailgate, it’s pretty clean looking. Dump bed works great. Tires are 22x9x10. Can anyone verify if that’s the stock size? Not sure if it’s lifted, or not. I’m guessing they came that way. It does have some smoke upon acceleration, not sure if it’s from old gas, or possibly worn rings....I’ll run it a while and see how it goes. I GPS’d it at 16 MPH on flat ground. Wondering if I could go up a tire size and install a smaller drive belt, and still have plenty of pulling power? The existing one is very loose. I can rotate it by hand-that doesn’t seem normal, but again, I’m not familiar with gas carts. Already looking to find some LED lights, and trying to figure out where to mount a rifle rack on it. ��

The STs came with 22x9x10s and a 4" dropped axle lift. Does it have a hitch receiver in front?

Yes. Front and rear. What was the front one used for?

That front hitch comes in handy for moving trailers around, easier to see and steer - also it's a good mounting point for a removable winch

If you want to lift it more (for cheap) Pull the front axle then flip the hitch plate over and sit it on top the axle then sit your springs on top the hitch plate then the triangle hold down plates, then run longer bolts down through the plates that are welded on bottom of the axle to clamp it all together.

Then a couple 2" blocks btwn the axle and springs in back with longer bolts.. I use 2x1.5x3" square steel tubing for blocks with holes drilled in the middle of them for the alignment pins on the axle and springs..

all for the price of a few bolts and tubing (I use grade 8 bolts)

Thanks for the info on the cheap lift. Do you know how much deflection there should be in the drive belt? It seams very loose. I can rotate by hand.

Don't know, they do stretch a little, but trouble is wear on the width.
belt should measure 1 3/16th wide, they take the same belt as a TXT.
