Default 2015 Express slow to start.

Howdy! My Express will turn over and the cart will bunny hop forward 20 to 30 feet or so before the engine will start. It runs fine once it starts. Choking it doesn’t help. Any clue as to what might be the issue?

It sounds to me like your belt may be too tight not letting the SG spin fast enough to fire the cart. IMHO the SG should NOT be pushing your cart.

Thinking about this and it sounds like ecaldwell78 may very well have identified my problem. My next question is how tight should the belt be?

It should have approximately 1 1/2" of deflection.

The belt was indeed too tight! It’s because the drive clutch isn’t fully releasing (If that makes any sense). I’m going to attempt to rebuild the clutch next weekend. Wish me luck
