Default aftermarket starter generator

i recently bought a starter generator on ebay. The F1 and F2 terminals are in opposite positions so i wired the original F1 and F2 wires to the labeled terminals on the aftermarket generator. It is not charging i have already grounded the small wire to bypass the regulator. I am wondering if i need to swap the F1 and F2 terminals. Will i damage anything if I try this? Thanks for the help.

Why did you need to change the Starter/Generator at first, was it not charging with the old unit?

EZGO uses the same starter/generator as the HD, so bench test the new unit, http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-h...generator.html
