Default ‘95 Medalist differential oil recommendations

Ok everyone. I have tried to find a definitive answer on what oil should be used in the differential of my ‘95 DCS Medalist. It kinda seems like it doesn’t matter if you’re a newb like me trying to find answers. Some say 30 weight....some say gear oil.... I ended up using some SAE 30 synthetic motorcycle Ams-oil because I had some left over from my bike. Am I ok with that? I do have a little clicking noise when going from power to coasting, but I read that this isn’t too terribly uncommon. No whining, no grinding....and I’d like to keep it that way! Thanks.

you are ok.....if you get a users manual for your cart, right there in it, it shows 30 wt motor oil. and is about the same as 75-90 wt gear oil. I wish I had the post that Johnnie put up a while back explaining how the two were comparable. but the bottom line is YOUR GOOD!
