Where does Bracket/shield go?
I am rebuilding a 2006 EZGO/TXT with a Robin 350cc engine. I took around 200 pics for reference and guess I needed 1 more, bc I cannot find where this goes. It came from the cart, but not necessarily the engine. A local dealer has no clue. Thanks for the help.

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
A 2006 model makes me think it is some sort of shield over the governor arm/linkage on the rear diff. Don't the newer models have an anti-tampering shield on the axle governor?

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
I thought the same but this does not look like the cover. This manual might have it somewhere. I have never seen this part .

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
Maybe the anti-tampering shield I have seen on golf course carts was on or near the carb where the governor linkage attaches to the carb throttle shaft. I know I have seen something like your part that would keep golfers from jamming a wooden tee in somewhere to get the cart to go faster. I friend of mine has described doing that many times until the newer carts came out.
Good luck finding where it goes. Probably not a vital part on a personal cart if it is what I think it is. |

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
Looks similar to the front engine mount on a club car. Maybe it goes under the front bracket to catch the engine frame if the bushing fails ?

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
Thanks to all for replying. I’ve checked the carburetor and differential. Still no luck. It was a cart used on courses and it has a dump bed. I rebuilt completely as it had a gasket and seal leaking. I’ll keep looking. Thanks for the help.

You're not working hard unless you come up with extra parts. :) Good luck with your resto job.

Re: Where does Bracket/shield go?
Thanks. I’m installing the motor this weekend. I appreciate the help. Hopefully the shield isn’t too important. It just bugs me. It’s like putting together a 1000pc puzzle and missing the last piece.
