Default EZGO 48 volt Charge receptacle to ClubCar charger adapter anyone?

Does anyone sell, or have you made an adapter from the 3 pin round ClubCar 48 volt charger to the 3 pin Triangle shaped EZGO 48 volt RXV receptacle? My ClubCar charger is OEM and puts out 20 or so amps while my EZGO charger is a cheapie 6 amp (at best) charger.

Thanks!

Yes. Just buy the replacement end you need and wire it up.

Just make sure you wire it right.

The club car OEM charger (Powerdrive series) needs the OBC inside the cart in order for it to charge.

Pretty sure I already answered this. His is a newer ERIC system. If not, ditch the 6a charger...

Hi, not sure what ERIC system is, I did a search but didn't find anything.

Anyhow, in the luck department talking to a customer of mine today he has a brand new Lester onboard charger that he never installed on his RXV. It's mine now!

What type is the CC charger?

As Sergio said, it may be only good for carts with the OBC.

My CC is an early 2000.
I'm on a crash course for golf cart info. So the CC charger is a Powerdrive (not a 2 or 3 etc.)Metal box with analog amp gauge. I opened it up and the blue wire (which I've learned ties into the golf cart OBC) has been removed from wherever it went and is taped up. Positive and negative are intact as the charger has been working on the CC. According to what I've read on BGW, the OBC has been bypassed on the cart as there is a non-factory wire from the negative of the charge port to the last negative in the battery series.

So....that means the charge isn't being regulated? Which is bad for the batteries and explains the excessive venting from the batteries. So I'll forget about using the CC charger on the EZGO! I will see if I can locate and reinstall the OBC wire in the charger itself, and disconnect the cart OBC bypass wire to return it to original configuration.

I got a Lester on board charger made specifically for the EZGO RXV.

I hope I'm clearing things up. Thanks for the replies.

Understood. The OBC on the CC was almost certainly bypassed because it failed.

I would not re-connect it. Simply get a smart charger that does not use the OBC.

Talking Re: EZGO 48 volt Charge receptacle to ClubCar charger adapter anyone?

I use a 48 volt Delta q charger with ezgo 36 volt connection to charge the ******* Club Car cart. I put the EZGO receptacle in the cart as well.
Mine is a coil cart though but should work fine for a OBC cart as well.
Cart is been modified with Ezgo rear end and charger for a Ezgo. Just because I had the parts and wanted to make it go faster.
