Default Drive Clutch on G9 Repair or Replace?

One of the pins that are part of the linkage in the Drive clutch fell out.
The links are sloppy have some side play in them but not bad.

The weight fell inward and now the clutch is about 50% engaged I suspect that I will have to cut the belt to get the weight flopped out where it should be,
Also the sheet metal cover is cracked however I can weld it back together

So should I get a rebuild kit for it or just replace the entire clutch assembly?
Rebuild kits, Weights washers and collars are sort of pricey for these and would make a good down payment on a new clutch.

I don't have any of the pullers etc. to do the job however I may get lucky and get it apart without a puller. I would also have to get a socket to fit the bolt holding the clutch on.

Yes get the puller. Do not try to pry or tap the clutch off, damage usually occurs. And impact wrench will make the job easy when used with the puller bolt.

Yes get the socket.

Yes get a new clutch, unless you have experience with inspecting and rebuilding the clutches. Chances are if that weight and pin are flopping around in there, something is probably damaged.

Thanks for the heads up.
Fixing it right the first time is usually the best way to do it. We are keeping the cart for a few years so that makes sense.

Yeah if you plan to keep it, you will appreciate new clutches. It will likely feel like a new cart. Good luck and keep us posted!

Worked on cart today here are a couple of pics.
The link's are very sloppy and the bushing's are worn out and almost non existent.

Thanks for the quick reply's I guess it is time to get out the Gold Card and spend some $$.

Here are a couple of pics of what has gone wrong.

Yep she's trashed. Once you get new clutches and belt, you'll like the results. Driving that cart around with a loose and worn clutch would have been far from the way it was designed.

Well I repaired the loose fly weight with a bolt for a temporary fix.
Got a new clutch and Puller and replaced the clutch yesterday.
The bolt holding the clutch on was really tight ended up holding the clutch with a large pipe wrench and using a breaker bar to loosen the bolt, impact wrench wouldn't budge it !
Also I wouldn't have been able to remove the clutch without the puller as it was on there to stay.
Did a before and after speed check 13 / 14 mph on a gps with old clutch and the same with the new one with a new belt.
Runs noticeably quieter now also the old clutch would occasionally drag when starting, this one will be easier on the starter.
Happy Camper now.

You can get more speed if you need it. You'll need to adjust the governor on the transaxle.

I need to do mine.
Where did you get the clutch and puller from?
Thanks.
