Default G16 engine swap into a G2?

Does anyone know if a G16 engine would swap over to a G2? Or is it a lot bigger? I have a G16 which the rear end doesn't work in forward and a G2 which doesn't have an engine. Wondering if I could just swap the engine over?

Why not just fix the rear end on the G16 and put a clone motor in the G2? Or check the buy/sell section a guy has a complete engine/exhaust/etc. For a G2 for $200

Putting the G16 motor in the G2 will likely be quite a task...

Any idea where to begin with repairing the gearbox?

Have a look at the maintenance manual... You will have to open it for sure.

But first, what do you mean by "rear end doesn't work in forward"?

It only drives in reverse. When it is shifted into forward it wont move.

May be a simple cable adjustment. I would try that first to make sure it actually is engaging in gear.

I have swapped a G16 motor into a G2, and I can tell you for sure it's no "direct swap". It requires welding and fabrication. The G16 airbox is a real tight fit.
