New Cart
Been a while since I have been on here. I traded in my 2013 YDRE and got a new Yamaha UMAX 1 Rally EFI. My first gas cart. I really like it. It handles well and rides a lot smoother than my g29. Can’t complain about the g29. It served me well for the 5 years I’ve owned it and gave me no trouble at all. I ziptied the governor and it runs a steady 25 with two people and two big dogs aboard. Dogs are why I got a cart with a bed on it. Cart doesn’t move without them on it.

Re: New Cart
I really can’t find much info on the cart other than what is on Yamaha’s website. My dealer says the frame on the umax 1 is the same as on the drive 2. The rally version has 3 inch lift from the factory. Looks more like a 2 inch lift to me. It had 23 inch all terrain tires which I changed to 23 inch street tires. It has a 402 cc engine that yamaha says is 14 hp. I haven’t been able to find any info on this engine. It was kind of a dog when I got it. I removed the “spark arrestor” from the end of the tail pipe, removed the foam prefilter, and ziptied the governor. Now it accelerates much better and hits the EFI rev limiter at 25 mph. It runs great and I am happy with the performance. Thanks for the compliments.

Re: New Cart
Lol, I know where there are 2 GMC/Detroit 6-71 superchargers sitting in the desert (still attached to their 2-stroke diesels)... They sure look good, but I'm not the thieving type, and they aren't exactly welcoming to visitors, so that's where they will stay!:
And, no, I ain't telling where. |
