Re: Clutch falling off
I'm going to assume that you mean the driven clutch. There are about three small screws holding the cover on. The center bolt that holds the clutch on is located between #7, and #1 in the pdf.

Re: Clutch falling off
Thanks, I took the 3 bolts out around the cover and the larger bolt in the middle of the clutch cover, I tapped the cover off and was spring loaded ???
But my problem is that it feels loose and once I come to a stop most of the time I can here the clutch still spinning ?? |

Re: Clutch falling off
The center bolt in the dust cover is a button for the governor lever to ride on. The center bolt under the cover is what holds the clutch on. The clutch mounts to a straight splined shaft. Neither the cover, nor the clutch bolt are spring loaded.
There is a snap ring that holds the clutch together under spring tension. If you feel anything that is spring loaded while the clutch is still mounted, I would say there is an issue with that snap ring. You should be able to remove the center bolt, and have room to slide the clutch off of the splined shaft with no problem. |
