You need to tighten that belt. loosen the big bolt 3/4in and then there is a adjuster on the back of the starter close to the engine block I think counter clockwise will tighten it but my brain isn’t working

Yes. Tighten the starter/generator belt and you'll be good to go. Easy adjustment

That worked. Thanks.

Now it will not go forward or reverse. Would the drive belt need to be tightened?

Will it rev up when you press the gas pedal down? The engine is spinning but it's hard to tell if it's actually running or not.

It does not seem to rev up. It stays at the speed/sound with the gas pushed either a little or to the floor.

*** But we did get it to move by just pressing the gas 1/2 - 3/4 of the way down and not all the way to the floor. Then we would go a little bit and it would cut off and start back up immediately.

I dont think the engine is actually running.

First, pull a spark plug and hold it against one of the valve.cover bolts while you crank it and make sure you have a nice blue spark.

If you do, pull the airbox lid off and shoot a little carb cleaner into the carb while you crank. See if you can get it to sputter or do something.

Spark plug has more of an orange spark but a good spark. The engine did kick on when i sprayed the carb cleaner.
