It might but the refrigerant makes for a better story. [emoji23]

Oh yeah!
And building a jig for your press would make for a good, long thread!
I’d follow it!

I have used light heat to remove these and didn't hurt anything. Sometimes you just got to do it.

I have too... And if you’re gettin too much heat on the shaft, you’re defeating your purpose anyway

Finally. I heated flywheel on cold morning and still couldn’t get it off by tapping. Went to the impact on the puller and still no. Then finally with some hammer taps on the rim with the flat of a clutch puller it popped. This was by far the worst of dozens of flywheels I’ve pulled. It’s always a good feeling though. Thank you jclark and trig for your posts. I think the heat/cool cycle helped, and some good pressure from the impact, finally aided by some taps to the rim. IMG_9519.jpg

Thanks for your update. YES
I have had them as hard to remove as yours. I think the trick is getting a solid hold on it. I think the socket is soft and gives when pressure is applied.
I made something that fits into slot that is hard with no give. Had a center in it so puller would not slip. Also helps to have everything straight. Your puller looked a little awkward but you got it.
Like cartaround said I think you need to now mix your oil and forget the oil injection. That crank is a little messed up where the pump would go. I have also messed them up.

Yeah, I’m over the oil injection fantasy now. Lol.

I just cut the nub off for the injection pump, and put the puller right on the crankshaft with the straight adapter. Maybe the solid surface helped?

Glad you got it done. Now the rest will be easy
