90 model G2 blowing ground circuit fuse.
I had a problem with my 90 model G2 blowing the fuse in the ground circuit.I searched the forums for others with problems like this. I found lots of people with this type of problem but no resolution. I downloaded a wiring diagram and started studying it. I knew it had to be a snort somewhere but where?
I searched and searched but failed to find anything. I started to take the positive battery cable off and when I did I slightly pulled oh the negative cable. When I did that, the cable came loose from the crimped on end.I decided to completely remove the cable in order to repair the end. When I removed the cable I discovered a split in the cable insulation that was not visable while checking it while still on the cart. Apparently it was shorting out on the cart frame.if you're having this type of trouble, check those cables by removing them and doing a thorough inspection.I hope this helps someone with this type of problem. |

Re: 90 model G2 blowing ground circuit fuse.
Well, thanks for adding this. But, there are a couple of common problems that cause this. Usually, its "aftermarket lights" grounded to the frame (big no-no), or problems inside the starter/generator.
