Default Ez go txt governor

I just purchased a 2012 ez go txt. The seller mentioned the cart is governed to go 15 mph and thats what its currently at (per a gps odometer app). I have been reading about being able to adjust the governor to increase the speed. I am only trying to get it to about 20mph. I an having trouble figuring out which exact location i need to be adjusting. I adjusted the spring about 1/3 of an inch, i will try to add photos where you can see this. I didnt notice any difference, am I adjusting the wrong thing? Or is that just not enough? Any info can help.

That's the spring and it looks like you have it tightened pretty good, do you have stock tires? if so it's going to be hard to get to 20, a better solution would be taller tires or you're going to scatter the motor.

I'd agree. Tighter than I like to go.

20mph is a stretch on stock tires but itll do it. However, with as far as that gov spring is tightened down it should be there now. I'd suspect worn belt or clutch issues if its tightened like that and only doing 15mph.

I'd loosen it up and evaluate the rest of the cart. Not good for the motor to rev it to the moon
