Clutch install was super easy because of the dump bed. I'm sure the old clutch was the original--it still had the plastic washer between the sheaves. The u-max spring is available if someone wants it. Sheaves, too. They're worn, but usable.

Next up, swap the engine from the G16. This is a Plowmans built 301, w/ his Hot Setup and head work. 31+ mph on 20" A/T tires in the G16. Not really looking for speed in this one. The G11 has something like a 15:1 rear. New secondary and a new overdrive primary will give me plenty o' torque and some speed.

The original engine will go back into the G16, and I'll sell it.

Got the engine in place. Still need to drill out the governor arm and do some fine tuning on the cables, but it runs and everything works. It's been raining and I can't get it out of the shop.

That's a clean cart you have there. Nice work!

Thanks. Still gotta clean the carb and fine tune the cables. I'll get the bumper put back on and fab some sort of mount for a 12" light bar. I'm not cutting into the cowl on this one...

Looks great! Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is an “overdrive “ primary clutch? Is it actually overdriven; turns faster then shaft rpm? How does it work?

It's a Team clutch with Don's internals. I'm not sure how it operates, but I'll find out more the next time I talk with him. Pretty sure that machine work is involved...

That thing looks great! Love the stance the lift gives it.

Just curious, have you considered swapping out the roof/supports with what’s on your other cart? It looks like your other one has a little bit better roof.

OK. Not a Team clutch. Don's internals, Team case/cover. Lots of Machine work is involved. It's best to give him a call...
