Yamaha g1 no spark. Bad CDI?
I have a yamaha g1 i replaced my ignition coil with a new one and downloaded a wire diagram for yamaha g1 and followed it completely. But still no spark. I checked the orange wire which i think is the power of the ignition coil and there is a ground on it. Could it be a bad CDI?

That's the next logical part. Beware of the cheap ebay CDI boxes.

if you cant find a good used yamaha CDI then you can try the chinese CDI boxes on ebay. there was one on my 80 that i had a big bore kit on and it worked well.

I replaced my CDI box with the chinese CDI you've said, and now im haviny a spark but sometimes no spark. Do you have any idea which is the problem?
