83 EZ-GO spark but no run gas ok

Got this EZ-go at a auction so don't know much history. The cart would try to run but not accelerate. The compression was low so we put the new cylinder kit on it. We replaced the pulsar and the ignitor but it acts the same. On the scope, the pulse from the ignitor looks like a double pulse instead of a single. The scope on the spark wire looks like two pulses instead of one. We got a lot of gas and the carb is good. seems like a timing issue but the pulsar is on the mark and gapped .016. thanks

Did you put the piston in with the side port facing the intake?

Did you put the rings bevel side up?

Two pulses make sense, the first one when it goes past the forward pick up and the second when it goes past the reverse pick up

We were very careful putting in the rings and piston. The rings had a "r" on them and the original rings had the 'R' up. The plug fouls up very easily so we going to try a new E3.10 plug. The coil measures 3 ohms on the primary and 37K on the secondary which seems normal.

I think you need to open up the fuel pump, and check for a ripped lower diaphragm.
