This is the panel I installed, $17 Amazon.
It comes with a plastic cover and stickers.
The pic is from the ad, mine is buried down in front of bat3&4.
It has LEDs to indicate a blown fuse, more stuff like that is showing up in products.
A friend just installed a new converter/charger in his camping trailer and the 12v fuses have LED indicators.

This is very similar to what I have to nstall.
I was confused by the comments of pulling the (-) from the harness by the OBC.

To confirm:. if i take (+) from battery 1 and (-) from battery 4 to the 48v to 12v reducer and the 12v outgoing wires(+) and (-) and run them with ring terminals to the similar fuse block pictured. Ill be able to add 12v products at leisure from the 12V fuse block (within reason i know i cant pull too many amps)

Thanks for the patience.

Yes that will work. Does your cart have an OBC? If so, connect the main negative not to the pack but to B- at the controller.

What "harness" are you talking about?

im calling the factory bundle of wires under the center cover / dash the "harness"

the headlight and taillight kit i purchased had a fuse that used the (+) spade connector from battery 4 and (-) terminal with spade terminal from bundle of wires under the center cover.

I can absolutely split that (-) terminal into 2 if I need too and take (+) from B1

Are you saying you are going to keep the factory reducer for the lights and have ANOTHER reducer for everything else? If so why? I'm not understanding something here. The purpose of a 48 to 12 volt reducer is to draw evenly from the pack.

Im a noob to this cart.

The factory light kit plugged to Battery 4 (+) and that negative factory terminal in center of all the batterys.
I assumed that was running the lights off only battery 4.

is this a factory reducer running off the entire pack?

Sir your original question was how to connect a 48 volt reducer to your cart.

We have no way of knowing if there is a factory reducer (using 2 batteries perhaps) or you are drawing off one 12 volt battery. Does not matter, either way, you must eliminate that.

The 48 volt reducer draws evenly off of the 4 batteries in your cart so you don't throw your pack out of balance.

You will have to determine what you are using now, unhook it and tie in to your new panel powered by the new reducer.
