No Storage Mode? Lester Summit II T-875s
I don't think my charger is using a storage mode for my batteries...I went out to drive the cart the other day and the charger had been plugged in for probably at least 6 weeks without moving...and the pack was down to 47-48v.
I thought the lester summit II had a storage mode - either float or turns on every x number of days. The battery profile in the app doesn't say anything about storage mode though. Is this correct? It's 48v Trojan 875's. |

Re: No Storage Mode? Lester Summit II T-875s
Yes the Summit II kicks on when left plugged in approx every 16 days or when your pack voltage drops to a certain level...are you sure your outlet is working and breaker has not flipped? Also did the charger kick on after you unplugged it and re-inserted? If all is well and charger still functions fine it may simply be the cart never discharged enough for charger to kick back on...

No power issues, charger is essentially brand new - 1 yr old. Maybe it didn't discharge enough - I'll keep an eye on it.
I also guess maybe it was an issue with temps - the cart is outside - covered, but the temps where I live are like 30f at night, maybe a few cases of 20f at night during the winter, daytime typically is 50f +/- 5ish |

Indeed I would only start to worry if it failed to kick on to the point the cart would no longer move until having to reconnect charger...that would be a sure sign of a failure of your charger storage cycle...

I'm just concerned because the batteries are brand new too - also just 1yr old so I'm trying to follow best battery procedures and not ruin $900... :)

If the Summit performed a "Storage Mode" charge it will be logged in the ChargeConnect app history.

Ahh - I see the storage modes listed in the details - so it is doing it. Thanks Sergio.
