36V to 12V Question
I just purchased a 1987 CC DS, 36V.
The cart has 12V lighting on it. Rather than using a 36V-12V reducer they wired the lighting kit off the the two middle batteries. Are there any issues with this? Should I get a 36V-12V converter? Thanks, Gary |

Re: 36V to 12V Question
Powering your lights from two 6 volt batteries, will create an unbalanced voltage in some of your batteries. Overtime, it will create premature battery pack failure. Voltage transformers are inexpensive, small, and money well spent. All the best.

Re: 36V to 12V Question
Thanks for the replies. I kinda figured that would be the answer. I’m new to all this so I’m trying to learn as much as I can.
Converter is a lot cheaper than a couple new batteries. |
