Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
I had two bungies over the seat cushion and it made the trip also.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help guys. BTW, the cart is home and reassembled. :) |

Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
I just ordered another trailer for my cart last night. I was hauling it on my off road trailer, but it just seems to be too top heavy like that. I'll just keep my O-R trailer for that and the new trailer for the lawn tractor and the cart. I'm thinking about hauling my cart backward too. The trailer salesman told me that since it's a tilt trailer, and being an 8'x5', the bed would not go back down do to the battery pack being just behind the axle, so that might kill two birds with one stone. The windshield hits my new paint job at the bottom of the plexi and going backward would keep it away.
I thought about putting some foam pad between the body and the glass, but don't know if that will rub the paint off over time. I'll be sure and secure the seat. |

Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
I just bought a new trailer from Lowes. 8X5 with a rear ramp. Has open mesh floor and ramp with excellent workmanship. I added a 2'X8' piece of 3/4 playwood down each outer side. $699. Has GVW of 1,840#. It sure beats the tilt trailers I have had in the past. You can google for "trailers" on the Lowes website and see it.

Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
I use the same trailer I use for all my hauling. It is a PJ 5X10 trailer with 3500 lb. axle.
It has a wood floor. I nailed blocks of wood into the floor for the rear wheel scotch. |

Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
Strap the seat down and run a strap over the top and secure it to the frame of the cart.(not the trailer) That'll keep your top on and keep the screws from pulling through the top.

Re: Pulling Cart on Trailer
when i made a 45min trip home with mine and a few 15min trips to my parents house, all was fine. when i took it to our hunting grounds i lost the roof somewhere. we started off early, an hour of driving before sun up. i noticed the seat bouncing up too. this was in the bed of the truck and even on a trailer. had to tie that sucker down. i put extra large washers on the rear supports of the roof and a band of steel 2"wide all the way across the front of the roof supports with 2 extra holes drilled through with mounting hardware. those type of issues should be gone now.
