Re: Club Car Amp Controller
Cool. I've got a week of vacation coming up towards the end of this month and plan to try to do all of the work over that break.
So far, I've got the following parts on hand: Turn signal kit with horn, 4 person seat belt kit, battery drip trays, Jakes 3" spindle lift, new HD rear leaf springs with bushings, 4ga wiring set, 20" safari's on 10" stormtroop wheels and a 48v to 12v 25amp converter. I've got a used alltrax dcx 400amp controller inbound. I'm guessing I need to go ahead and at least get the HD solenoid ordered too. Still on the future upgrade list is the DOT windshield I'll be ordering through you, an upgraded motor, a dash, a steering wheel (maybe), and a brush guard. However, I've found like most of you guys that the list never seems to be finished. |

Re: Club Car Amp Controller
You have got a lot on your plate for a week
GO to the Alltrax website and see what solenoid they recommend for that controller |

Yep. Plan to strip it down as much as possible to give it a good clean up and to make installing the wiring harnesses easier. Also am planning to paint the frame where the batteries sit with bed liner or something, and then also my top and it's frame with black paint too. Will be a busy week and if not finished in one week it's no big deal. Will check the alltrax site. Thanks. |

Re: Club Car Amp Controller
DO NOT PAINT THE BATTERY TRAYS WITH BED LINER !!!
Everybody who is considering this STOP! I had one customer do this and then ask me to repair the inevitable rotten battery trays. Yes it is inevitable even with the spray that the trays will need repair... and when they do you will wish you had never heard of spray on bedliner. Aluminum needs to be surgically clean in order to weld that is not possible with that gooey crap on everything leave the aluminum bare as it was designed...... Just my experience, others may disagree. |

Re: Club Car Amp Controller
If I'm looking at the Alltrax Documentation correctly, it says that for my 400amp DCX controller I need 4ga wires, 470 ohm 10W resistor on a 250amp contactor (48v), and a 250amp fuse on the batt wire.
