what is the best programming for an alltrax controller
i have the 5021 motor and need torque to get up some steeper hills, but also wanted speed. is speed and torque opposite of each other. so, if i drop the speed down, do i increase the torque? there was no torque option on the programming software.

No ... use 100% output. That is going to give you all it can. What controller do you have?

What is the size of the smallest cable in your battery & drive system? What is the condition of your batteries? How did you determine the battery condition? Are you still at 36v? What solenoid are you using? Is your cart DCS or PDS?

Re: what is the best programming for an alltrax controller
The batteries could be your problem? I would load test to determine if they are strong enough to continue diagnosis ... If the batteries are weak you will slow on hills for sure

Re: what is the best programming for an alltrax controller
ok based on D&D's website, the most speed you are going to get on 36 volts is between 12 and 14 MPH. If you were to upgrade to 48 volts, you could see speeds between 16 and 22 MPH....... If you need new batteries anyway, it might be a good time to upgrade your voltage......

Re: what is the best programming for an alltrax controller
that would be great to upgrade to 48v batteries, however, isn't the motor rated for a 36 system. i would then need to change the motor as well. yes?

Re: what is the best programming for an alltrax controller
I have seen alot of people convert to 48 volt using D&D motors, but I would make the call to D&D to find out what they say for certain.
