Wiring diagram for 3-volt batteries

Thanks for letting me in this forum. I have a 88 club car 36 volt. I replaced the 36 volt solenoid. I also replaced the 6 6volt batteries with 3-12 volt. I had 3 12volt that are good and just want to get this cart moving. I am not sure of the wiring, can anyone tell me how these batteries should be wired?

Like the originals your batteries would be wired in SERIES positive to neg until all 3 are connected. The remaining 2 posts one positive and one negative are the 36v connection ... check it out with your voltmeter to be sure.

P.S. 3/12v batteries will not give satisfactory service in a golf cart.

OK I got that much, now it has 1 wire from +1 battery to f/r switch. 1wire from -3 battery to charger plug also to motor. Now these are the ? wire it goes from the + #3 to f/r switch also.I got it to go forward but no reverse.

The green cable from the bottom of the F&R is (originally) 1/2 power Positive for reverse. Connect it to the positive post posts at battery #3 for full power reverse. or loop it as a jumper accross the bottom of the F&R ... either way you get 36v positive power for reverse. Hope this helps.

Thanks I will try that. These batteries may not work in my cart anyway. They were used for a ups system but aren,t very old. Maybe I can find some decent 6volts somewhere.
