dropped axle during lift kit install now the cart wont work
While doing the rear axle lift on my 07 Club Car DS the axle fell off the jacks. no wires appear to be damaged but the cart will not run. You can hear the motor "click" to engage but it will not go forward or reverse. Sometimes when trying forward you can feel it try to move but it wont go.
Thanks for any help |

Follow the wire up to the controller to make sure you didn't unplug or damage the plastic where it plugs in. A few of the people with Zones did this and had to replace the plastic plug and wires.

Re: dropped axle during lift kit install now the cart wont work
I think what you hear click is the solenoid rather than motor? Usually when axle gets dropped like that the cables going to motor, or cable connections are damaged? In a few cases I have heard about the cable studs on motor hit hard enough against the frame to move and damage interior windings inside motor. Do you have a Tow-Run switch and if so was it turned to "TOW" and did you disconnect battery pack while installing lift? Also check for fuse protecting battery pack ( normally before controller or solenoid ) if batterys were left connected. If by chance you disconnected cables from motor ( as should be done ) and ( didnt use 2 wrenches ) it could have allowed motor studs to turn breaking interior wiring loose? Also check your motor speed sensor on end of motor for damage or broken wiring.

Re: dropped axle during lift kit install now the cart wont work
My axle rolled over and pulled on the wires on a 2006 CC DS IQ lift kit install and the same thing happened. I removed the controller cover to find two wires unplugged from the controller.

I get a call at work about once a week about this. It's the same every time... Like mentioned above...... the wires got pulled loose.

Soooo common that Jake's include a set of extra wires with their lift kits for this reason...
