Re: Rebuilding my 84(?) EZGO. Few questions..
Plumbergs, I agree with Jim, it's looking good. Looking forward to seeing you post that the engine is running.

Re: Rebuilding my 84(?) EZGO. Few questions..
Thanks guys.. Couldn't have done it without your help.
I've actually got the engine back in now, but I still can't get it to fire. I'll post details in a new thread in just a few minutes. I decided to use the red instead of the blue because I had heard so many stories by folks saying their seal poped out again a few hours or days after rebuilding. I even read where one guy used loctite blue and his seal still poped out.. I know it'll be more difficult to remove next time, but hopefully that'll be a long time from now. |

Re: Rebuilding my 84(?) EZGO. Few questions..
It lives!!!!
Click here to see her run. Took it for a test drive and while it isn't a speed demon, its pretty peppy for an old cart. I have to say, it feels really good to tackle a project like this and finally get the reward of hearing it run for the first time. I want to say thanks to everyone who has answered my questions and walked me through this rebuild. Also thanks to the webmaster for creating this great site! Couldn't have done this without you guys. I'll do a compression test and post the results here tomorrow. Next up comes paint, recovering the seats, lift kit, tires, and a dump bed. Plus I have a few minor bugs to work out but I'll save that for another thread. |
