Do l need a lift kit?

Hi

Sorry for all of these Question's but l'm really clueless.

I will be buying a late model precedent i4 and l will be only driving it on paved roads but very hilly.

My feeling is that the lower the better because it will have a lower point
of gravity which will help stabilize it in turns like a sportscar.

Also what size wheels should l have and what kind?

You wont need a lift for your needs. Alot of people install them for off roding and riding on the beach. Some install the even though they don't need the extra clearance but just like the looks. It's up to you.

P.S., I thought you said in the other forum you have no interest in them and no idea why a person would install them...

Yes that is correct but again after thinking about it l came to the conclusion
that l really am clueless and should listen to the experienced Owner's.

I am not an experinced owner, but I can say that you are right, a lower cart will handle niceley, and (I think) look cooler too, but others will disagree. To be street legal in Georgia, you will need to buy other things, tho. For instance, you will need lights, seat belts, a horn, a slow moving vehicle badge, blinkers, a rear view mirror.......

We put a lift on ours more or so because of looks. But, it does go faster. You definitely can not take a corner like we could before it was lifted.

My concern is that there was an accident in my community where 5 people
were hurt when the cart turned over. Two were serious and the rest were banged up plus some broken bones.

I have no idea if the cart was lifted or they hit a curb. No drinking involved.

That is why l will have seat belts both front and back.

You said you live in a hilly area. If you lift it I assume you will put bigger tires on it. That means with out dumping a lot of cash into it you will loose a lot of torque and there for a lot of power on hills.

There shouldn't be any concern of safety with a lift kit unless you are acting like an idiot with it. Of course you could have an accident with one not lifted as well if you are acting like that. Personally I think seat belts are an overkill unless they are required by law.
