Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
first off you can't use a magnet in Excel cart, is the resistor still getting hot. East Coast carts sold you a magnet knowing you had an excel cart.

Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
Not that i can tell it felt cold to the touch. Its strange it starts off like its going to go full speed then slows and stops until you let it sit for a while, seems like the longer you let it sit the futher it will go to an extent. The mcor had water in it, I did manage to open it up and dry it out it looked good from what I could see. There is a local guy here thats supposed to hook it up to his computer on friday so if I have to wait until then I wil. Thanks .

Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
Hopefully it was fresh water! If not you're going to have nothing but trouble! Make sure you drain and refill the rear axle assembly. Having water in it will destroy the bearings and gear set.

Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
Yes it was fresh water. I'll post back after I get it diagnosed on Friday unless I find the problem before then from what I've been able to find on the web I think it's going to be the mcor, but this is my first electric cart so I could be wrong.

Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
So the guy finally diagnosed my cart,he says the only fault code showing was the solenoid was dropping out. We'll see what comes of that.

Re: Nothig But A Little Smoke
Well it was the solenoid, the guy put a new one on and all is good now. He charged me $115.00 parts and labor(not to bad).
