Default 06 DS 48v rev Buzzer stays on & NO-GO fwd or reverse

Purchased a 2006 Club Car DS 48v in non-running condition. Was told it needed a controller & it would run prefectly......so this is my new learning curve. Hooked car up to charger, it came on, charged & turned off. Then switched car from tow to drive & reverse buzzer came on right away, even with ignition key in off position. I then purchased a new controller..OUCH & did the swap. Switched from tow back to run with fingers crossed & exactly the same situation. Buzzer is on, only way to switch it off is to place vehicle in tow or disconnect batteries. Any ideas ?

Is the FNR toggle switch in Reverse?

EDIT: If you could include the serial number as well, that would be helpful. It should be located on a tag above the GO pedal below the right side glove box

ANOTHER EDIT: Can you hear the solenoid click when you press the GO pedal?

It does not matter what position the switch is in, I even removed the switch and jumped wires, it makes no difference. Pressing GO pedal results in nothing forward, in reverse the car attempted & I guess the best explanation would be it "shuddered" a foot vey slowly & then stopped & nothing when I pressed the pedal again. I will look for the Serial number & post, thanks.

Was the replacement controller new? Do you happen to have the model number of the replacement controller?

My neighbour has an 02 DS. If he will let me borrow his Cart ,are the parts interchangable to swap back and forth for diagnostics ?

If you could get serial numbers for both, we could determine that for you

Thank you for all the responses. I borrowed my neighbors '02 DS-48v & with his assistance, we swapped his controller into my car - NO Change, still no fwd or rev, buzzer still on. SO thats three controllers with the same result. I convinced him to let me try swapping computers & he reluctantly agreed. EUREKA.......computers swapped, switched car from tow to run & NO buzzing. Turned key on, battery light came on, heard a click, battery light turned off, car works perfectly........So I have to order a replacement computer now.
