motor burnt?
Hey all. I am new to the forum and have a 94 ezgo. I was just reading through the diagnostic sticky and saw that there was a continuity test. I will try that, but wanted to get some opinions before I get there. My cart was driving fine all summer and I did notice a grind or noise from the motor when driving slow, but would go away when accelerating. Today I was driving up a hill and clunk...nothing. I did smell and strong burnt smell and would then just get a clicking noise from the motor. Tonight the cart moved just a tad and then the clicking noise from the motor and the smell. The solenoid seems to work fine and I just hear the noise from the motor. Thanks

Re: motor burnt?
Can you locate the source of the smell? Check around the controller and FNR. If it seems to be the motor, try the continuity test. If it fails, it may just be worn brushes, which aren't too hard to replace.
