99 Club Car DS low power making electrical whinning noise
48v cart, new motor, Controller, v glide, solenoid, batteries in good shape 49v. Cart will run but slow and weak while making a high pitch fairly quiet electrical noise, almost like a faint reverse buzzer but not a reverse alarm.
After I replaced vglide all it did solenoid click on and right off. I grabbed the 6 pin connector at vglide and giggled then it started doing the same issue prior to all the new parts... all of them. |

The noise that it is making honestly sounds like a imapct drill that you are barely making turn under no load... Electricty to a motor... brushless..

Re: 99 Club Car DS low power making electrical whinning noise
49v is on the low side for the battery pack. Ideally should be 50.9.
What does that voltage drop to when the cart is trying to move? The high pitch whine is normal for some carts. Does yours have a Lever for Fnr or a small rocker switch? If it has a rocker switch, does it have two solenoids, one either side of the controller? |

Re: 99 Club Car DS low power making electrical whinning noise
Voltage doesn't drop (hardly any) when accelerator is pushed. It has a rocker switch. 2 solenoids, vglide w/ 6 pin
I've had a cart shop for about 10 years and this one is just throwing me for a loop because it runs and drives just weak (like bad brushes or a vglide out of adjustment, bad cable, etc.). I have ordered ANOTHER controller from Flight Systems. It has to be that.... i'm pretty sure. the whining on this one is a little more/different than your normal cart. |

Re: 99 Club Car DS low power making electrical whinning noise
Check the solenoid on the drivers side. When those fail the it runs all the current through the resistor coil and it will be slow as molasses.
Another possibility is the voltage signal from the v-glide pot is too low and it’s not seeing the signal for full throttle. |

I have not replaced that one yet. Right before I read your response I was messing with cart and thought to myself that it seemed it was working against the controller when it should be off. lol. i will let you know results! Thanks
